GCA Friends and Family,
It is hard to believe that fall is here and we are planning for our first Homecoming in GCA history. The hallways are buzzing with excitement, whether it be students discussing the fall play (Peter Pan), fall sports, or the lessons being learned in the classroom. It is amazing to see what God is doing at GCA. Personally, I am thankful my family gets to be a part of this awesome community.
Last week, Robbie sent an email updating everyone about the new property and how you can pray for the project. I wanted to follow up to let you know how you can help. We invite you to get involved and, specifically, help “Equip the Next Generation.”
First, we invite you to attend our largest community event of the year, “The BID.”
This is our silent/live auction, held November 5th at The Factory in Franklin. Please go to https://gcalions.ejoinme.org/gcathebid
and make your reservations now (I will also send this link out in an email for you). Last year we sold out and would anticipate selling out even quicker this year.
We have some great opportunities for you at The BID this year. In addition to all of the trips, teacher experiences, class artwork, and gift baskets (just to name a few), we are adding two new options! Each of these options will be $100 and each sold separately.
1. TICKET TO RIDE – an opportunity to have one year free tuition for a student.
2. GOLDEN TICKET - will be drawn prior to the beginning of the live auction, and the
winner will have his or her choice of any trip in the live auction, at no additional cost!
To put it in perspective, you could possibly walk out of The BID with FREE TUITION for one full year and a trip to CABO for $200.00 ... sounds like a pretty good deal to me!
Second, we are asking for your help with the securing of items. If you have access or capability to provide vacation homes, private parties, tickets, autographed entertainment or sports memorabilia, or other items that would make great auction items, we would love to auction them off at The BID.
We currently have a team going out into the community to receive donations, so please email Margaret Wright at firstname.lastname@example.org
before asking a company or business for a donation. We want to be very intentional and NOT ask businesses multiple times.
If you or your business would like to get your name in front of GCA and the community more prominently, please consider a corporate partnership. You can contact me at email@example.com
or call 615-578-3021. Enclosed is Corporate Partnership information.
Most importantly, we ask for you to pray for our board and administrative team as we continue to plan for the future of GCA. Pray for wisdom as we guide the school and “Equip the Next Generation.”
