Bio

David DeFatta started GCA's soccer program in 2010.  He has been coaching at GCA since then, leading both middle school and high school teams.  Coach DeFatta is passionate about the game of soccer.  He loves the competition, technical and life skills soccer teaches, but most importantly the opportunity to pour into and walk with student athletes in furthering their relationship with Christ.

Coach DeFatta played soccer from a young age through high school for select teams, Olympic Development Teams and at Franklin High School.  The skills learned from soccer translated over to the football field where he was a punter and kicker at Franklin High School and Middle Tennessee State University.  Upon graduation from MTSU, where he obtained his degree in Construction Management, David went right into the family business of custom home building.  Coach DeFatta married his high school sweetheart, Laura Gentry DeFatta, in 2011.  The Lord has blessed the DeFattas with two daughters, Mary Bennett and Adelyn.

Coach DeFatta looks forward to serving the GCA Boys Soccer Team for many years to come!  He is honored with the privilege to coach and mentor student athletes.
