Bio

Mrs. Amy Finch graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 1991 with a B.S. in Mathematics.  She minored in secondary education and Computer Science.  She began her teaching career in the Tennessee public school system, where she taught all levels of high school mathematics up through Calculus, for 14 years. From there, she moved into private Christian education, taking a middle and high school math position at Riverside Christian Academy, where her two children were already enrolled.  She remained there for 10 years teaching all levels of middle and high school math.  While at RCA, she served a dual role as middle and high school principal for six of those years.

Amy and her husband, Doug, felt God leading them to leave Fayetteville and move to the Williamson County area.  Doug already worked in Brentwood, and Amy was excited to get a position at GCA and have a great Christian school for her daughter. They have been married since 1994 and have two children: a son Seth who attends Freed Hardeman University and is majoring in Ministry, and a daughter Caeli who attends GCA.  They are active members of and enjoy being Community Group Leaders at The Church at Spring Hill.

One of Amy’s favorite passages of the Bible comes from James 1:2-4. “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.  But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”
