Dan is a native Nashvillian and member of the second graduating class from Brentwood Academy, where he met, and eventually married, the love of his life. Dan and Terri have been married since 1976 and are passionate about loving their nine children, two daughters-in-law, three sons-in-law, 11 grandchildren and growing family.
After graduating from Maryville College, Dan spent three years teaching and coaching at Brentwood Academy, followed by a 33 year engineering and management career, then retirement from Middle TN Electric in Franklin. Most recently, Dan served six years as Sr. Director of Programs at Show Hope where he led programmatic strategies and served alongside his wife Terri developing pre-and-post adoption resources to assist foster and adoptive families throughout the US and around the world.
Dan says, “I am especially passionate about students realizing their potential and joy in relationship with Jesus. One of my favorite verses is the easiest to memorize, “Jesus wept.” The context reminds me that consistent with Jesus’ purpose as a man, he feels what I feel and I’m never alone.”
