Bio

Megan was born and raised in South Carolina. She graduated from the College of Charleston with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She taught first and second grades, before going on to get her Master’s Degree in Literacy (Grades K-6). She worked in the Charleston County School District as a Master Reading Teacher, providing reading intervention for students in need. She also enjoyed helping teachers develop lesson plans and teach reading effectively.

Megan and her family moved to Franklin, TN in 2015 for her husband’s job. She and her family quickly fell in love with the area. During that time, Megan stayed home to raise their children. It was then that she discovered a love for photography. She spent many hours taking photos of her children and the beautiful middle TN landscape to learn the art of photography. She eventually started taking photos for families (family sessions, newborn sessions, engagement session, etc.) and events at her church.

In keeping with her love of teaching, Megan teaches preschool at a local Christian preschool. She loves watching children grow in their knowledge of the Bible, along with academics. Megan and her family are very involved in their local church where they serve on the Connection Team and in Kid City. She also enjoys spending time with her 3 children, 2 of which will be attending GCA this year! 

Megan is so excited to help GCA capture the wonderful works of God that are within the school.  She prays that the photographs taken this year will bless the school and families individually. Psalm 62:7-8 “On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God. Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us.”
