Tools for Parents
Reading aloud to children improves reading prosody and comprehension, writing and communication skills, logical thinking and concentration, and general academic skill. When parents read to their children, a love of reading is sparked. Here are some books lists and other tools to help engender a love of reading:

AdLit: A rich, multimedia library of free, research-based resources to support your students in grades 6-12.

Growing Kids for the Kingdom has a goal of supporting parents as they raise kids to know and love God, reflect his character, and share his love with others.
 
Tools for Elementary Students
Biblionasium: This site is a safe, fun social reading community for sharing ideas about books.
Storyline Online: Provides streamed videos of books read by actors. 
TEL4U: The Tennessee Electronic Library's Kids site includes homework help, State History, EBooks, Educational Games, Simple Research Tools and a Coding Club. The lists are carefully curated to provide a safe environment for children.
PebbleGo: Want to do research? This is the site for K-4th grade kids. Ask your teacher for the student login.
Williamson County Public Library Ebooks: Just sign into your public library account for access to thousands of titles. Check out Tumblebooks, featuring audio, video and read alouds.
