Ms. Karissa Wheeler is overjoyed that the Lord has led her to return to GCA, this time to teach elementary music and direct middle school shows once again! Ms. Wheeler graduated magna cum laude from Sewanee: The University of the South with degrees in Theatre and English, a minor in Dance and a Voice practicum. After time in New York City training and working both in the arts and in Christian education, she came home to Tennessee and has spent the last year working in vocational ministry. Her greatest passion is helping equip the next generation to make a culture-shifting difference for Jesus through the arts! 

In her spare time, you can find Ms. Wheeler working professionally both theatrically and commercially, writing children's books, podcasting, and dressing her morkie (Chai Rose) in pink tutus and bows! Her life verse is Ephesians 3:20: "Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine, according to His power at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen!"
