Dr. Amy Hodgson » Bio

Dr. Amy Hodgson, with a BA in English, a MA in English Literature, and a PhD in Education, is thankful to be teaching English classes at GCA and serving as the Academic Dean for the high school.  Amy’s experience includes teaching at Barry University in Miami, Florida, and overseeing Curriculum and Instruction as the Assistant Superintendent of School Union 96 in Sullivan, Maine.

Married to Charlie Hodgson for nearly 40 years, they are the blessed parents of two children: Dakota, a graduate of the University of Southern California, and Tara, a graduate of the University of San Diego and founder of the Christian non-profit Project R12 (www.projectr12.org).  Amy delights in her family, especially her grandsons Maxx and Boone and granddaughter Bayy.  She revels in teaching literature and experiencing God’s blessings in the woods and waters of Maine.

Her philosophy of life centers on Paul’s words: “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!” (Philippians 4:4)
