Rebecca LaForest » Bio


Mrs. Rebecca LaForest graduated from the King’s College of Briarcliff Manor, New York with a BS in Elementary Education in 1992 and received a Master’s of Education in educational leadership with an emphasis in K-12 principalship from Cabrini College, Radnor, Pennsylvania in 2009.  For well over 20 years, she has taught a variety of age groups ranging from pre-kindergarten to 8th grade and directed an early childhood program for six years, shaping the program and overseeing the development of the curriculum.  Mrs. LaForest also holds certification with the Association of Christian Schools International and has participated in accreditation visits for schools applying for membership in the association.

She and her husband, Peter, have served together in ministry as he has pastored over the years.  They enjoy traveling and participating in activities such as bungee jumping, white water rafting, riding ATV’s, and trying foods from different cultures. Their next goal is jumping out of a plane!  Mrs. LaForest also enjoys reading Christian fiction, listening to praise and worship music, spending time with family, and going to craft shows.

In church, Mrs. LaForest has been involved in helping lead women’s studies, teaching Sunday school, participating in leading of worship, working with high school and college aged students, and directing a nursery and Sunday school program. Her favorite Bible verses are from Proverbs 3:5-6. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
