Bio

Jennifer Almon is one of the Science Instructors at Grace Christian Academy. She teaches Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Anatomy and Physiology. Jennifer has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education, with an emphasis in Biology, from Samford University. She continued her education with the University of Arizona, completing a masters in Teaching with Technology. After this completion, she finished a masters in Biomedical Science at Liberty University. She has taught all levels of science, including other classes such as Advanced Math and World Geography, in both public and private schools.

For four years, she correlated state requirement templates for science curricula as an independent consultant to Pearson Textbooks. Jennifer was home schooled in Indonesia by her own parents who were medical missionaries.  In Nashville’s home school community, Jennifer taught for many years in the various home school tutorials in the area. In the past, Jennifer has also been a lead sponsor and faculty mentor for Auburn and Lipscomb Universities’ “BEST” robotics team competition, devoting time to nurture students in their love for science and technology. Jennifer joined Grace Christian Academy in 2016.

She and her husband, Link, have three children: Jared, Jenna, and Seth. Jenna and Seth both graduated from Grace Christian Academy. Jennifer and her family attend Thompson Station Church. Jennifer has been involved in humanitarian work as a medical team translator for the tsunami relief efforts in Banda Aceh, Indonesia, and well-digging teams in Sudan, Africa. She also worked with deaf ministries at Brentwood Baptist Church.
