Bio

Elizabeth McKay Hutchison hails from Thunder Bay, Ontario Canada. She has a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature and a Master of Library and Information Science from Western University in London, Ontario. She also studied theology at Wycliffe Hall, The University of Oxford and has a certificate in Technology Integration in the Classroom from Fresno Pacific University. She is licensed to teach in the state of Tennessee and studied education at the University of Virginia. Elizabeth has worked in government, academic and public libraries in Canada, the United States, England, Nigeria and Kenya. Prior to joining GCA, she worked at Christian schools in Michigan and Virginia. One of her greatest desires is to help students live rich spiritual lives that glorify God with their compassion, love and excellence. One of her favorite verses is: “What the law could not do….God did” (Romans 8:3) because it reminds us to rest in what God did, not prove what we can do.

Elizabeth is married to Harry and when she isn’t reading, she can be found cycling, knitting, or talking with friends.
