Tony graduated from Lee University in 2005 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, and a minor in Bible. In May of 2007, Coach McLeod earned his Master’s Degree in Education at Cumberland University. While at Cumberland, he served as the Women’s Basketball Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator. During his time at Cumberland, the team reached the NAIA National Tournament each season, including a National Championship appearance in 2007, where the team finished as the National Runner-Up.
Coach McLeod has a passion for integrating his faith and the game of basketball. He serves as the Director of Girls Programming and Special Projects for Upward Stars-Nashville, a faith-based travel basketball club. He coaches their top girls team, and in 2016 the team won the USSSA Division 1 National Championship. He also leads clinics and devotional character lessons for the club.
Prior to coming to GCA, Coach McLeod was an assistant coach for four seasons at Ravenwood High School. Before that he was the Head Boys Varsity Basketball Coach at McClain Christian Academy in Lebanon, TN.
Coach McLeod is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. He is married to Kendall McLeod who teaches history at Ravenwood. The McLeod’s have a daughter named Caleigh who was born in July of 2015.
