Nicole Smith graduated from Florida Atlantic University with her Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science and Health Promotion in 2008. Nicole was immediately hired to work as a strength and conditioning coach under the leadership of Pete Bommarito of Bommarito Performance Systems. During her time with the company, Nicole was able to work with one of the top strength coaches in the nation to help prepare college football players for the NFL combine and train professional athletes in the off season. Nicole continued this work until God called her and her husband to Nashville, TN.
During her time at GCA, Nicole has been developing and implementing the football program's off season training program, and working side by side with the other coaches to develop a summer workout program for all of the school's student athletes. Nicole is also involved with the GCA volleyball program.
Nicole is married to GCA's Head Football Coach, Rusty Smith, and together they enjoy raising three energetic boys, Rustyn, Camdyn, and Koltyn. It is her passion for coaching and mentoring the next generation for Christ that gives Nicole the peace of leaving her duty as a stay-at-home mom to spend her afternoons at GCA!
A verse that speaks to Nicole personally is 1 Peter 4:10, "As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another."
A verse she hopes to instill in her athletes is 1 Timothy 4:12, "Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity."
