Bio

Chuck Hammett is the head golf coach at Grace Christian Academy.  Mr. Hammett grew up competing in Florida at a high level in the junior ranks.  He finished high school as a highly touted golfer and earned a scholarship to Stetson University, from where he graduated in 1991. 

Mr. Hammett turned professional after college, playing in pro events in the Panhandle of Florida and South Georgia.  Mr. Hammett’s real gifting is in that of teaching and instruction.  He started his professional golf instruction career in 1994, working on staff in golf schools and becoming the lead instructor at two different golf clubs in Florida.  Mr. Hammett has ministered extensively through the game of golf and is the author of the book, “Jesus Would Have Been a Scratch Golfer”.  He is currently on the teaching staff at Westhaven GC in Franklin, TN.  He also travels as a speaker to churches, utilizing golf as the platform for his ministry.  Mr. Hammett and his wife Bobbi have been married since 1997 and have three children who attend GCA.
