Brett Armstrong graduated from Presbyterian College with a degree in Economics and then spent seven years in youth ministry in the Atlanta area. While working toward a PhD in History from Vanderbilt University, he began teaching high school history and coaching boys and girls soccer at Christ Presbyterian Academy. He later coached and taught at Trevecca Nazarene University. For the past four years, Brett and his family have been in Salt Lake City, Utah where he was the High School Principal at the only K-12 Christian school in the Salt Lake valley.
Brett and his wife Leslie have three children, a son Jacob, and a daughter and son (Alex and Connor) who attend Grace Christian Academy. Brett loves reading and teaching history, coaching soccer, traveling (especially if it involves hiking & camping), and flyfishing. The Armstrongs are grateful that God has led them to GCA and are excited to be back in middle Tennessee.
Colossians 1: 9-12 is one Scripture passage in particular that has meant a lot to Brett over the past several years.
