Bio

Mrs. Jennifer Lain has been in education for over 20 years teaching in both private Christian and public schools.  She began her teaching career in Houston, Texas where she earned her Bachelors in Inter-Disciplinary Studies EC-4th Grade and a Master’s in Education from LeTourneau University graduating Suma Cum Laude.   Jennifer's teaching career includes teaching 4th grade in Eanes ISD in Texas, 5th grade at GCA, 6th grade level classes, music for K-5th grades, and theater for 6th grade and secondary level classes. 

She builds her classroom on relationships, empowerment, and trust by utilizing a growth mindset and Social Emotional Learning.  Her strengths in teaching include experiential learning and teaching to multiple learning strengths and personality styles.  Mrs. Lain creates an active learning environment where students can connect to whatever they are learning.  She loves to teach, especially teaching the “how’s and why’s” but most of all - she loves children.  

Mrs. Lain’s spiritual and natural gifts are teaching, and she has a passion for ministry, family, children, and education.  She and her husband have served as pastoral and staff members at several churches for over 27 years and have served in leading worship, playing piano, singing, and teaching capacities, when not serving on staff.  Her heart for worship and teaching allows her to bring a Christian worldview into her classroom.

Mrs. Lain and her husband have been married for over 30 years and have two grown children, Joel and Rebekah, and one precious grandson. She spends her spare time with her family, cooking, gardening, writing, and playing the piano.  Mrs. Lain says “This is not a job – it is my passion and call.  It’s my honor and privilege to teach your child - this is something I do not take lightly.”
