GCA Announces Baseball Field Dedication at New High School

Grace Christian Academy in Leiper’s Fork completed their new high school that sits on approximately 65 acres on Southall Road in August of 2023. This new building includes 24 classrooms, media center, multi-purpose gym, and now a new baseball complex.

The new, state-of-the-art baseball complex consists of a synthetic field with more than 113,000 square feet of turf by Hellas Construction in partnership with Sports Turf Solutions. The complex also includes a suspended netting system, a rock wall going down the left field line, four viewing decks, batting cages, bullpens, a first base home team dugout that contains locker rooms, restroom facilities, and an in-ground third base visitor dugout. Ultimately, this will be home to a future football, track, softball, soccer, and wrestling complex.

“I am very proud of our new field and the guys that have helped shape this program,” says Brad Myers, Director of Development and Head Baseball Coach. “Reflecting the school’s values and building strong Christian young men using God, relationships, and baseball as tools to teach and mentor them to be the best version of themselves spiritually, academically, and athletically on and off the field has always been the goal and I’m happy to see it come together,” says Myers.

The Field Dedication will begin at 5:30 PM with former MLB player, Gold Glove and Silver Slugger Award Winner, and GCA Baseball Coach Chase Healey to throw out the first pitch at 5:30 PM followed by a game versus Franklin High School at 6:00 PM.

“We are excited to celebrate the completion of the GCA baseball complex. We are extremely thankful for our families' investments in equipping the next generation of Christian leaders. We are honored to serve our families and students as we strive to honor the Lord in all that we do at GCA,” says Robbie Mason, GCA Head of School.

The entire community is invited to attend this event.
