High School Principal's Welcome

Dear GCA High School Students and Families,

I am grateful for a new school year, and I look forward to partnering with you. I’m honored to work alongside our fantastic staff and faculty team! GCA is very special to my family, and ten years later, it is still such a privilege to get to drive Southall Road to come to work. It’s our wonderful community of believers - who are committed to Jesus - that makes GCA so awesome!

God is growing our school and I pray that we stay on our mission—to raise godly young people to make an impact for Christ’s glory. Author John Maxwell coined, “Change is inevitable, growth is optional.” Will we put in a great attitude and effort to grow in our mission? And will we dedicate our work unto the Lord? Yes, I know we can! This higher calling begins with trusting God, and it continues with these: Be In Church. Love Your Family. Be In School. Be A Friend. (I know this sounds like a hokey 80’s slogan, but I believe it’s true.)

Be In Church: Our community needs to be back, in person, with a church family. Many of us, including my family, changed the way we participated in the church because of COVID, but now all of us need to attend regularly inside a church body.

Love Your Family: Our families can take such a hit with the busyness of life. This is simply a charge for us to love and make time for our families with the craziness of schedules.

Be In School: The best learning takes place here at school, let's make attendance count!

Be A Friend: Everyone needs friends. Remember kindness and the Golden Rule of treating others the way you want to be treated with friends.

Lastly, Psalm 34:7 says, “The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him, and delivers them.” It is my prayer that we fear and respect the LORD in all we do and rest in knowing that He encamps around our school. He is the Deliverer! I’m confident in the LORD’s provision and protection of GCA and I know it’s going to be a great year!

In Christ,
