Bio

Henna is of Indian origin, born and raised in Nigeria. She was raised in a devoted Hindu home, and attended a Christian school where the Lord drew her family closer to the knowledge of Jesus Christ. In 2015, she moved to Chicago and began her undergraduate studies at Moody Bible Institute. After her freshman year, Henna made the choice to spend some time diving deeper in the knowledge of Christ which led her to move to a 2-year Bible college in Plymouth, Minnesota. After she graduated from Free Lutheran Bible College in 2018, Henna returned to MBI to complete her degree and in May 2021, she graduated from Moody Bible Institute with her B.A. in Elementary Education and Bible.

In her free time, Henna enjoys watching movies, swimming and traveling. Her parents still live in Nigeria and her sister lives in Australia. In July 2021, her sister was blessed with a baby boy which made Henna an auntie! She hopes to travel to Australia soon to meet her baby nephew. 

God has transformed Henna’s life in ways that she can’t even imagine. She believes that Jesus is woven into every aspect of our daily lives and she hopes to express this in her teaching. Henna desires to use her calling in education to bring the nations to the knowledge of Christ. A verse that reminds her of the Lord’s faithfulness is, Jeremiah 29:11-13, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.”
