Admissions Timeline

 

 

Once you’ve submitted the Application and Application Fee, we will contact you to schedule your child’s Shadow Day (rising 1 st -12 th grade students) followed by Student Interviews (rising 6th -12th grade students). Families applying for Pre K and Kindergarten will be contacted to schedule morning visits and Kindergarten testing. Rising 1 st grade students will complete admissions testing on their scheduled shadow day. Testing is required of all students except Pre-K and will be held in the months of January and February 2027.

 

Monday, November 30, 2026: First day to submit application and application fee ($50 per child).

 

Friday, January 1, 2027: The FACTS Financial Aid Application opens. Families interested in applying for financial assistance are encouraged to begin this process while completing the admissions process.

 

Families who apply for financial aid through FACTS are also required to apply for the Tennessee Education Freedom Scholarship Program on the first day the application portal opens.

Saturday, January 23, 2027: ISEE Admissions Testing (rising 5 th - rising 12 th grades), 8:45am

 

Monday, January 25, 2027: ISEE Admissions Testing (rising 2 nd - 4th grades), 3:30pm

 

Friday, January 29, 2027: Deadline for first round of applicants.

 

The completed application and the application fee of $50 per child must be submitted by this deadline to be considered within the first round of applicants.

 

Friday, February 5, 2027: Deadline for all supplemental components- confidential reference forms, academic records, photocopy of birth certificates, immunization records/religious exemption affidavit.

 

Saturday, February 6, 2027: ISEE Admissions Testing (rising 5 th - rising 12 th grades), 8:45am

 

Monday, February 8, 2027: ISEE Admissions Testing (rising 2 nd - rising 4 th grades), 3:30pm

Applicants will register and attend one test date of their choosing. ISEE also provides an at- home test option at an additional cost.

 

Parent Interviews are not guaranteed as a part of the admissions process. Parent interviews will be scheduled when the admissions checklist is complete, the student and family qualify for admission and there is available space.

 

Monday, March 1, 2027: For Current GCA Families Only: Last day to submit written request for withdrawal from re-enrollment contract. Families who withdraw after March 1, 2027, will be responsible for full tuition unless tuition insurance was purchased.

 

Friday, March 12, 2027: Prospective families will be notified about enrollment.

 

 

Thursday, January 28, 2027: Kindergarten Admissions Testing
Thursday, February 4, 2027: Kindergarten Visit Morning
Friday, February 5, 2027: Kindergarten Admissions Testing
Thursday, February 18, 2027: Pre K Visit Morning

 

 

Pre K- 12 th students who submit applications after January 29, 2027 or whose application is incomplete after February 5, 2027, will be placed in the second pool of applicants and considered on a space available basis.
