GCA Founder and Board Members

GCA Founder

Mr. Reggie Garner
Reggie Garner spent most of his childhood in Memphis, Tennessee. He opened his own company when he was 21 years old and had 16 employees within the first year. He always had a desire to be a builder, so when he was 24, he sold his current business in order to pursue building homes. He built 10 homes in the first year. For over 40 years, he has continued to be successful in the home building industry as well as land development. His determination has allowed him to build over 3000 homes in the Memphis, Nashville, Chattanooga and Huntsville area.

Adversity is not a stranger to Reggie, but through the years he has persevered. The Lord began to prompt a desire in Reggie’s heart to do something for God’s kingdom. He started pursuing the start of a Christian school in the Franklin area. God birthed this dream in Reggie and Reggie feels honored to be a part of a Christian school especially since he struggled through school.   Through hard work, several miracles and God’s provision, GCA had their first graduating class in 2016.

The Lord has blessed him with a loving family and five wonderful children and they reside in Franklin, Tennessee. As the school continues to expand, Reggie offers both his business expertise and his faith in a God who still does miracles!

Dr. Andy Sloas

Andy Sloas is an adult and pediatric emergency medicine physician who lives in Franklin, TN.  After completing medical school in Ft. Lauderdale and an internship in San Diego, he went on to serve his country as a Naval Flight Surgeon.  His time with the Navy took him to Kuwait and Iraq with a United States Marine Corps helicopter squadron for Operation Desert Storm.  He and his family then spent the next decade of their lives finishing his medical training.  First practicing medicine in Houston, TX and then moving to Lexington, KY where he and his wife Holly both worked as physicians for the University of Kentucky.  God then made it possible for them to make a highly desired move to Nashville.

The Sloas family absolutely knew that they had found their new home in Tennessee from the moment their Grace Christian Academy admissions interview began.  They had prayed fervently throughout their two-year job search that God lead them to a place which would provide their three children a Christ-Centered-Education.  GCA has abundantly exceeded their expectations.  Andy and Holly love Grace Christian Academy with all their hearts and are forever grateful that God has led their family to GCA.

Andy is humbled to be serving as a board member.  As in all areas of his life, Andy will be relying extensively on prayerful consideration when determining the needs of the school and concede all decisions affecting the ongoing growth of Grace Christian Academy to His plan.  Andy will only support an agenda that furthers the growth of your children in a manner that allows them to thrive spiritually, academically, and provides them a path to go forward as the light unto the world.  May all the good that GCA accomplishes be to His glory!
