Charlotte's Web - IS/MS Spring 2024 Production

We are excited to announce the information for Charlotte’s Web! 

 

Please take note that there will be cuts during the audition process - it is a smaller cast. We will only cast 28-40 people for the show; thus, not everyone will get cast. Please prepare your student and yourself for this! 

 

AUDITIONS FOR Charlotte's Web

When: Tuesday, February 27th from 2:30 - 5:45 PM 

*If you’re in Choir Club, please sign up as early in the day as possible. (Mrs. Benzon will work around this.)

 

Where: Pool House IS/MS Music Room 

*If it is too cold or raining, auditions will be held in another location TBA.

Time:  Students will sign up for a 3 minute audition time slot.
*If all of the time slots are filled, more will be added! Please let [email protected] know if more times need to be added. 

Callbacks: Wednesday, February 28th from 3:00 - 5:30 PM in the HS Choir Room 112
*Some students may be asked to come in during Homeroom at 2:30 PM due to sports conflicts.

 

Casting will be posted on the website Friday, March 1st after 3:00 PM. 

 

Performance Dates: Friday, April 26th at 6:00 PM and Saturday, April 27th at 4:00 PM

Audition Form  You MUST fill out this form to audition. The Audition Form is your parent approval to be in the show. You must also list all conflicts on the form. 

Sign Up Genius  Students will sign up for a 3 minute time slot. Pool House IS/MS Music Room 

Crew Form  You can fill out both an Audition Form and a Crew Form. This won't affect casting. *We are in need of a Student Stage Manager who can be at all rehearsals. 

  

By filling out these forms, you are committing to the rehearsals required for this production unless excused in advance by a director. In the event of illness or emergency, we agree to contact a director immediately or as soon as possible.

Is there a Production Fee?  Yes

  • Cast members will be assessed a production fee of $150, which covers scripts, licensing, costumes, props, set, a show t-shirt, dinner, snacks, and cast party.  

  • Crew members will be assessed a $45 production fee to include a show t-shirt, a script, snacks, dinner, and lanyard.

  • Make-up Kit $40 - This is optional but recommended and can be used in the future.

What if children are currently in a sport? That's okay!! We want them to be able to participate in both. When they audition, we will make a note of it on their conflict sheet and try our best to make it work!

What does the rehearsal schedule look like? Included in the audition material is a tentative schedule for rehearsals. Each week, we will send out the weekly rehearsal schedule.  Most rehearsals will be after school from 3:00 - 5:30 PM. However, there could be a few night rehearsals from 5:30 -7:30 PM, depending on student/church conflicts. If your child is needed for the later rehearsal, we will offer an optional after-school study hall and dinner until rehearsal.

Why Audition? Productions are a fantastic way to connect with others, build self-confidence, work as a team, and encourage one another. We hope you will encourage your son or daughter to come and participate in Charlotte’s Web. We know it will be a special time of fellowship, discovery of his/her gifts and talents, and an opportunity to glorify the Lord in what He is doing here at GCA.
