Note from the Director of Development

Welcome / Message from the Director of Development

Welcome to another year at GCA! I hope your family had a wonderful summer, and I am excited to begin a new school year together as we live out this year’s theme: Love God, Love Others.

Our theme is a simple but powerful reminder of who we are called to be. Jesus tells us that the greatest commandments are to love God with all our heart, soul, and mind and to love our neighbor as ourselves. My prayer is that this will be more than a theme for us this year. That it will be evident in our classrooms, on our fields and courts, in our hallways, in our homes, and throughout our community.

There is also a great deal of excitement surrounding the future of GCA.

Over the past nine months, God has continued to bless our Building for Generations campaign in incredible ways. Through the generosity and faithfulness of our GCA families, grandparents, alumni, and friends, we have now received more than $12 million in gifts and commitments.

Thank you to every person and family who has prayed, given, encouraged, and believed in this campaign. Each gift is helping us prepare GCA to serve students and families for generations to come.

As we enter this school year, the work continues. Our plans for the new elementary school and campus improvements are moving forward, and we are excited about the progress taking place on campus. While we celebrate how far God has brought us, we also recognize that there is still important work ahead as we continue toward our $20 million campaign goal.

If you have not yet participated in the Building for Generations campaign, I would simply ask you to prayerfully consider how God might lead your family to be a part of it. Gifts can be made through a one-time contribution, a three-year commitment, appreciated stock or other assets, or in whatever way best fits your family.

But even more importantly, we ask you to pray. Pray for our leadership and Board as we make important decisions. Pray for the construction process and for the safety of everyone involved. Pray that God will continue to provide the resources necessary to complete this vision. Pray that everything we do at GCA will point students toward Christ and prepare them to Love God and Love Others.

Because while buildings and facilities are important, students are the mission. These new spaces are simply tools that will allow us to continue investing in students academically, athletically, relationally, and spiritually.

If you have questions about the Building for Generations campaign, would like to learn more, or simply want to sit down and talk, please don’t hesitate to call, text, or email me at 615-578-3021 or [email protected]. I would love to connect.

Thank you for your continued prayers, generosity, and belief in the mission of Grace Christian Academy. Let’s make it a great year as we seek together to Love God and Love Others.

With gratitude,
