BIO
Gina grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. She attended the University of Illinois and then went on to attend Dominican University, where she earned her Master of Arts in Elementary Education. She subsequently completed the Teach for America program, where she taught in one of Chicago’s most disadvantaged neighborhoods. Following that, Gina spent ten years teaching at Cossitt Elementary in La Grange, IL. While the Chicago area may always feel like home, she was thrilled to be able to recently move her family down to Franklin.
Gina is so excited to be teaching at a school with a mission to serve Christ. No problem is truly solved without biblical wisdom, and she is looking forward to sharing those truths with her students. Her favorite verse is John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
When she isn’t working, Gina spends time with her husband, son, and daughter (Bennett and Charlie). She also loves to spend time with their dog, Ivy. (Ivy is named after the ivy at Wrigley Field, go Cubs!) Gina is a huge dog lover, and her family fosters animals for a Franklin-based animal rescue. She is also certified to teach Barre and Pilates classes.
