Crystal Tinnon is originally from East Tennessee, where her extended family currently resides. Following her mother's career as a high school girls' basketball coach, Crystal's family relocated across Tennessee. several times, eventually settling in Cleveland, where she graduated from Cleveland High School. Her talent led to a collegiate basketball career at Motlow State. Upon completing her basketball-playing career, Crystal established her life in Middle Tennessee after meeting her husband, Brandon, a native of Nashville. She dedicated nearly a decade to leading a Christian nonprofit youth organization as Director of Program Operations and coached middle school and travel basketball, utilizing her passion to mentor students, provide support to families, and share her faith.
Crystal's connection with Grace Christian Academy began when her son, CJ, enrolled in seventh grade. After his graduation, motivated by the positive impact GCA had on his faith and education, Crystal had the pleasure of being asked to join GCA athletics and take on the role of high school girls’ basketball coach. She is now focused on driving the mission of Christian education and discipleship through her roles in physical education and as the head girls' basketball coach. Crystal holds a bachelor's degree in health science from Purdue University and a master's in conflict management from Lipscomb University.
