BIO
Heather Connery feels so honored and blessed to teach middle school math at GCA. Born and raised in the Nashville area, she graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in education and later earned her master’s degree in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College. Heather taught middle school math at Donelson Middle for 3 years and Freedom Middle School for 12 years. While taking time off to be home with her youngest, she was also a preschool teacher at her church’s school for several years.
Heather lives in Franklin, TN, with her husband, Chad, and their youngest daughter who attends GCA. She and her husband also have two grown daughters and a grandchild. When she is not teaching, Heather loves to spend time with her family, paint, do outdoor activities, watch football (Go Vols!), read, and take portraits of babies and children. She loves Mexican food, donuts, and iced coffee.
Heather is passionate about making her students feel important and loved, helping them feel successful, and helping nurture their relationship with Jesus as they grow and find their purpose and identity in Him.
