BIO

Kathy is currently a PhD student at Liberty University, pursuing a degree in educational leadership. Previously, she graduated from Charleston Southern University with a B.S. in Business. She also holds a minor in English and a B.S. in Management. Additionally, she holds an MBA in Finance and International Marketing from Fontbonne University. She is from Buffalo, New York (GO BILLS!) and has one daughter, Katie, who is a Christian worship leader, songwriter, and recording artist.

Before joining GCA, Kathy spent most of her 35-year career in community banking and as an entrepreneur, from teller to CEO. She is considered the only female in history to start and launch two banks (called de novo banks). Her banking experience primarily focused on private banking, working with professional athletes in the NFL, NHL, MLB, etc., entrepreneurs, musicians, celebrities, and small businesses. She has also consulted with banks in fintech, regtech, compliance, and cybersecurity. Kathy frequently visited elementary, middle, and high schools as a community leader and guest teacher in the subjects of financial literacy, servant leadership, and volunteerism. Most recently, she served as an adjunct professor of microeconomics at both Belmont University and Missouri Baptist University.

Kathy volunteers through Points of Light as a Certifying Organization for the President’s Volunteer Service Awards. She is also an active member of Brentwood Baptist Church as a choir member, greeter, and VBS volunteer. Kathy has also served with Samaritan’s Purse, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Nashville Chamber of Commerce, and the Franklin, TN, Visitor’s Center.

Her hobbies include being a loyal Buffalo Bills fan, playing golf, and spending time with her daughter, family, and friends. Her goal is to help inspire the next generation of students who will change the world for Jesus.
