BIO
Jordan is thrilled to join the GCA family as 5th math Teacher and Head Coach for MS and HS Wrestling. He and his wife, Melinda, along with their two children, Max and Logan, reside in Franklin, TN. Jordan brings a wealth of experience to GCA, having graduated from Brown University (Providence, RI 2007) with degrees in American History and Public/Private Sector Organizations. While at Brown, Jordan learned how to persevere at the highest levels, winning several NCAA DI wrestling matches for the wrestling team. His time at Brown also ignited a deep passion for education, which led him to join Teach For America in Charlotte, NC after graduation. As a corps member, Jordan dedicated himself to closing the achievement gap in underserved public schools by teaching math, history, and earth science, all while coaching wrestling and flag football.
Over the past 15 years, Jordan has gained valuable experience as a project manager, management consultant, and software implementation manager in various industries. However, his true passion has always been in education and wrestling. Since 2021, Jordan has coached wrestling at Battle Ground Academy, where his teams finished in the top 4 at state duals, produced multiple state placers and prepped young men for college.
Answering God’s call to GCA, Jordan aims to partner with students and families to help each student grow in knowledge, faith, and character. He feels honored to be part of a community where faith and education go hand in hand. Jordan’s life has been most shaped by Matthew 22:37-39, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment." And the second is like it: "Love your neighbor as yourself.”
