Amalia Martin’s teaching career began in Madrid in 2020, where she developed and taught advanced courses in Spanish and Hebrew. She has held instructional roles at institutions such as the Complutense University of Madrid and the Faculty of Theology of the Evangelical Baptist Union. Currently, she serves as an instructor at Auburn University, where she has been recognized for her academic excellence and contributions to the campus community, including her membership in Sigma Delta Pi, the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society.
In response to a sense of divine calling, Amalia Martin, together with her husband José and their daughters, Cristina and Ángela, relocated from Spain to Auburn, Alabama. They have been actively engaged in ministry at First Baptist Church Opelika, participating in worship leadership, mentoring, and evangelistic outreach.
The Martin family expresses gratitude for this new chapter in their lives and is honored to join the GCA community. They draw continual inspiration from Psalm 23, which has served as a guiding Scripture for their family’s journey: “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He guides me along the right paths for His name’s sake.”
