BIO
Eddie is a middle school teacher and assistant football and track coach. He holds a BA in English and history from Ole Miss and an MA in learning and teaching from Lipscomb University. Eddie has taught a variety of classes in middle and high school, worked with student support and computer-based learning, and served at-risk students in the alternative and juvenile detention center settings. His most valued aspect of teaching at GCA is the ability to share scripture and pray with students.
Eddie’s family moved to the Southall area on a Revolutionary War Bounty Land Grant in 1806, making him an eighth-generation Franklin native. He is married to Heather, and they have two sons who attend GCA (Trip and Rhett). The Jacksons are active in several capacities at Christ Community Church in Franklin. When not at school or church, Eddie enjoys spending time with his family and pets, traveling, fine dining, and all things sports.
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, or envying one another." Galatians 5:22-26
