Sarah Parsons is a professional artist, educator, and lifelong creative who believes that creativity is a gift from God and that every child is uniquely designed in His image to create. She is passionate about helping students discover the joy, wonder, and confidence that come from making art while encouraging them to see beauty in both God's creation and one another.

Originally from Boulder, Colorado, Sarah has called Franklin home since 2010. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting and photography from a private university in Indiana and has been painting professionally since 2009. Inspired by her faith and a deep appreciation for color, light, and the beauty of the natural world, her abstract landscape paintings seek to capture the feeling of a place rather than simply its appearance. She believes that beauty has the power to inspire, heal, and bring joy.

Before joining the classroom, Sarah served for several years as creative arts pastor and director at a local Franklin church, where she developed creative environments and mentored artists of all ages. She also served as vice president of the Arts Council of Williamson County, championing local artists and helping create meaningful arts experiences throughout the community.

Sarah founded Parsons Studio, a community art studio created to inspire children and adults to play, connect, and create together. The studio grew from years of painting alongside her own two children, hosting backyard art parties, and witnessing firsthand the confidence, curiosity, and delight that flourish when people are given the freedom to create.

As an elementary art teacher, Sarah desires to cultivate a classroom where students feel safe to experiment, embrace mistakes, and celebrate the unique gifts God has given them. She hopes every child leaves her classroom knowing that creativity isn't reserved for a talented few—it's part of how God designed us to explore, imagine, solve problems, and bring beauty into the world. Her greatest joy is watching students discover that creating art is not just about making something beautiful but about becoming more fully who God created them to be.
