Krista Kennaugh is passionate about developing young readers! She holds a Master of Arts in Teaching Reading from Oakland University and graduate certificates in the Science of Reading and Dyslexia from Mount St. Joseph University. Krista earned her bachelor's degree in elementary.
Education from Eastern Michigan University. After twenty years as an Army spouse, Krista earned teaching certificates in several states, including her professional license in Tennessee. Krista is originally from the Detroit area and moved to Williamson County in 2025 when her Her husband retired from his career as an Army chaplain. She loves to travel and has a full passport after being stationed in Germany and Hawaii. Some of her hobbies include baking, cooking, reading, "beaching," hiking, and golfing.
Krista married her husband Scott in 1994 and have five amazing sons and three young grandchildren. Her sons live in 4 different states, including IL, NC, VA, and TN. She treasures every minute she gets to be with her family.
One of her favorite verses is Proverbs 16:9—"The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps."
