BIO
Lauren was born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama. She attended Mississippi State University and graduated with a degree in Secondary Education, but God led her to several years of youth ministry. She spent two years in Memphis working at a church as a youth intern. Afterwards, she moved to Nashville and spent five years on church staff as an assistant high school youth director. In the meantime, she met and married her husband, Eric.
After a brief foray into nursing school and working as an RN, Lauren and Eric had their first child, and she became a stay-at-home mom. Since then, Lauren has continued to spend much of her time volunteering at her family’s church in many areas, most recently in women’s Bible study and youth ministry.
Through these ministry opportunities, God reminded Lauren of her desire to teach the Bible regularly and her deep love for high school students. She can think of no better way to combine those loves than by teaching the Bible at GCA. She is excited to join the GCA community!
Lauren, Eric, and their three kids enjoy adventuring together, from the mountains to the water, as well as playing games around the kitchen table.
Psalm 90:12: “So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.”
