Lizzie has been so blessed to have begun her teaching career at GCA over ten years ago. She is so excited to be back on staff and believes it to be a full-circle moment to be assisting the fourth-grade teachers this year! Before being a stay-at-home mom, Lizzie taught fourth grade at GCA (all of her students have now graduated!). It was an absolute joy, and she loved every minute of it! Teaching was a second career for her, as she was previously a school counselor. serving several middle schools in Williamson County. Before counseling, she spent a year in the mission field planting churches in New York City with the North American Mission Board. At every stage and stop, her heart has been to share the life-changing love of Christ with others. She holds a master’s degree in learning and teaching from Lipscomb University and a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Middle Tennessee State University.

She is married to Derrick, and they have three children: Sydney (3rd), Ruby Love (2nd), and Huck (PreK). One of Lizzie’s favorite chapters of the Bible is Psalm 139, which is a great reminder. Each child is created fearfully and wonderfully made. It also provides great comfort knowing that He knows His children intimately. One of her favorite scriptures to pray is a prayer. of blessing; Numbers 6:24-26 – “May the Lord bless you and keep you; may the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; may the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.” Lizzie considers it an honor to share the truth and love of Christ with God’s precious children. Her prayer is that each child at GCA accepts Christ as their savior at a young age and seeks His will all the days of their lives. She is beyond grateful to be a part of what God is doing here at GCA!
