Mrs. Lizzie Smith holds a Master's degree in Learning & Teaching from Lipscomb University and a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Middle Tennessee State University. During her time at MTSU, the Lord placed missions on Lizzie’s heart. After much prayer and consideration, Lizzie applied for a student missionary position in New York City and subsequently served a one-year term agreement through the North American Mission Board. Following graduation Lizzie followed the Lord’s calling to New York and served a year in the city, planting new churches, then moved back to Tennessee where she spent eight years as a STARS Counselor in the Williamson County School District. STARS is a non-profit student assistance program that is placed within the schools to provide support to all students through group and individual counseling, as well as provide prevention education through classroom presentations and school-wide assemblies. While serving as a STARS Counselor Lizzie returned to school to obtain her Masters degree at Lipscomb, and now has her K-6 teaching certification and is highly qualified in her subject area.
