Bio

Joni graduated from Lipscomb University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and received a Masters of Education at Freed Hardeman University in Curriculum and Instruction in 2004. She has taught Kindergarten in both private and public school environments in Tennessee and Texas. Her favorite job was being a stay at home mom to her three girls for many years. It now brings her great joy to teach and serve in the same school community that her daughters attend.

Joni is originally from Atlanta, GA and has lived in the Franklin area for the past 11 years. She loves spending time with her family, reading good books, running, and keeping up with a rambunctious Boston Terrier, named Bruno.

Joni considers it an honor and privilege to be a part of the staff at GCA. Joni is passionate about helping children develop a love for learning at an early age and equipping them to trust and follow Jesus. One of her favorite verses is Romans 15:13, “May the God of Hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
