Welcome to Parent Teacher Fellowship
Dear GCA Families,
Parent Teacher Fellowship, our parent organization, wants to extend a very warm welcome to you!
When building the parent organization here at GCA, we wanted to do something different to set us apart. With a vision to actively serve the staff and families of GCA, our parent organization works diligently to bless our teachers and create opportunities for all who call our school “home” to build close relationships and a strong sense of community.
We are thrilled that you are a part of the GCA family and we are extremely honored to have the opportunity to serve you this year!
Parent Volunteer Form
As our school grows, so do the opportunities to volunteer and plug in. There are many committees that need help throughout the year and the commitment level varies based on what team you choose to be a part of. Please read through the attached form and prayerfully consider a way to volunteer and serve our school. Once you print and complete the form, please feel free to send it in with your child or drop it by the front office of either campus. There will also be printed copies available at each front desk if you'd like to stop in and fill one out. If you have already turned one in, there is no need to fill out a duplicate form.
Faculty and Staff "Favorite Things" Lists
If you would like to bless our faculty and staff throughout the year, we have lists of all of their favorite things that may help inspire some ideas. Each individual's list is included in our GCA staff directory found at this link.
Rewards Programs
Our families have the opportunity to help raise funds for our school by taking part in various rewards programs. There are several different programs that earn money for our school that we are able to spend on classroom supplies, technology and other valuable resources. We ask each family please take a few minutes to link your grocery store’s reward program and your Amazon account so that GCA can benefit from your normal shopping routine.
GCA also earns money by participating in the “Box Tops for Education” program. Each box top earns ten cents for GCA. That may seem small, but it adds up quickly. With very little effort, we can all make such a big difference! In the past, Box Tops have been clipped, turned in, and mailed in for credit. The Box Top program is changing its process and we will no longer need to do the clipping and mailing. You can still clip them and turn them in but in the future, you will be able to download a Box Top app and then just scan your receipt for credit to GCA!
All of our rewards programs are very easy and require only that you enroll in the program. If you have any questions regarding this process, please reach out to Meredith Salmon ([email protected]).
Kroger
Simply register online at https://www.kroger.com/account/enrollCommunityRewardsNow/. Be sure to have your Kroger Plus card handy and register your card with Grace Christian Academy of Leiper’s Fork when you sign up online. If you do not yet have a Kroger Plus card, they are available at the customer service desk at any Kroger. If you enrolled your plus card last year, you MUST RE-ENROLL each school year. Kroger is VERY generous in their checks to us but you must enroll/re-enroll your card. Grandparents, friends, and family can register and designate donations to our school as well.
Publix
Over the years, Publix Partners has donated more than $36 million to over 4,600 schools and organizations. Participation is easier than ever before. Simply sign up for an account by going to www.publix.com and click on sign up. Once you create your account, go to My Settings and select our school, Grace Christian Academy, Franklin. Then enter your phone number every time you check out. GCA will receive a portion of your purchase in rewards.
Amazon
Simply go to www.smile.amazon.com and enroll your account. Once you enter your account name and password, search for Grace Christian Academy of Leipers Fork. GCA will get 0.5% of your total purchases! It takes 10 seconds to enroll; however, you MUST use the smile.amazon.com and enter the website EACH time you order. It will take you to your prime or regular homepage for Amazon.
