Course Description

Algebra 2 builds on the skills acquired in Algebra 1 and Geometry. The technology of the graphing calculator (required) will help students apply mathematics with problem-solving analysis and justification. Concepts emphasized in the curriculum include: analysis of function families (linear and non-linear), solving systems of equations, quadratics, complex number system, graphing, probability, data analysis and logarithmic and exponential functions. This class is designed to be more challenging than a Standard Algebra 2 class. Therefore, it will include more in-depth problems and students will be expected to move at a quicker pace.
