Bio
Judy Barnette graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a B.S. and a M.S. in Mathematics. She taught in public school for 10 years and then stayed home for 13 years to raise their two girls, McKenzie and Haley. McKenzie now lives in Birmingham with her husband and 2 children and Haley and her husband live in Johnson City.
After teaching at Ravenwood High School for five years, she took a year off to take classes at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. She really had no idea where God was leading her, but was excited to have the opportunity to combine her two passions: teaching Mathematics and encouraging students in their Christian walk.
She and her husband Rick are involved in their local church, Redemption City Church. Judy’s passion is teaching, training participants of mission trips, and then actually leading the trip. She has been on over 50 national and international mission trips and is enjoying leading GCA students as they learn about missions. The fall of 2024 is the beginning of her 11th year at GCA.

One of her favorite Bible passages is Hebrews 11. It's the story of the Bible in one chapter!
