Bobbi Hammett » Bio

Bobbi studied English and Psychology at Florida State University and received her BA in English, Creative Writing.  Upon graduation, she began volunteering at a small Christian school in Havana, Florida, and soon after accepted a position as their first grade teacher.  She immediately fell in love with her students and the opportunity to pour into their lives at such a tender age.  After two years of teaching first grade, she went on to work at First Baptist, Tallahassee, teaching Pre-K and Kindergarten.  Bobbi was passionate about helping to mold and shape the children, both academically and spiritually.  From the classroom, she moved on to develop a program for one of Tallahassee’s finest work out facilities, Premier Health & Fitness Center.  There, Bobbi managed the gym’s drop-in day care, providing activities for the children of gym members, while they fulfilled their exercise routines.  Bobbi enjoyed interacting with the children as well as the parents in an environment of learning and fun.

Bobbi and her husband, Chuck, have been married since 1997 and are involved in leadership at their church. They also have a charity organization for children, called The Angel Foundation. Bobbi and Chuck have twin boys, Jonathan and Reagan and a daughter, Olivia who all attend GCA.  Bobbi has enjoyed being deeply involved in the lives of her children as a stay at home mom and also loves being back in the classroom as a classroom assistant.  She is eager to help GCA students develop a love for learning and love for Jesus from the very start of their education.
