Bio

Ashley Jones graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor of Human Learning K-8 from the University of Tennessee at Martin.  She began her teaching career in Maury County teaching Reading to Kindergarten and 1st grade. In 1998, she married her UT Martin sweetheart, Brent Jones, and moved to Thompsons Station. There she began teaching 4th grade at Bethesda Elementary. In 1999 and 2000, she continued on to teach while getting her Masters of Instruction from Trevecca Nazarene University, but stepped away from the classroom when they welcomed their oldest son, Baylor, into the family in 2000.

Ashley has spent the last 15 years focusing on the growth of the children in her home, church, and community while serving in various roles. Ashley has been a leader in the Preschool and Student Ministry of Thompson Station Church for over 13 years. While Ashley was home with her children, they spent three years homeschooling. During their home schooling years, the kids attended a home school tutorial where Ashley also taught History to Kindergarten and 1st Grade. While she enjoyed homeschooling and being with her children, God clearly showed their family that it was time to re-enter school full time.

Brent and Ashley have five children. Silas, Eliza and Cruz are all students at GCA. Baylor, a GCA graduate, attends and plays baseball at UT Martin. Callan, also a GCA graduate, attends Western Kentucky University. They are a busy family that enjoys hunting, fishing, and cheering each other on in their favorite sports and activities.

Romans 8:28 "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
