Spiritual Life Directors' Welcome

Spiritual Life Welcome

The goal of our spiritual life programs at GCA is to be a tool that God is using to water the roots of each student, so they may grow to show the fruits of Christ to the world around them. We believe that God has ordained parents as the primary disciple-makers of their student, and that it is our role to come alongside and partner with each family. We also hope to see students find a passion for the Lord that is unique to him or her.

GCA accomplishes these goals in three different ways. First, we are Biblically saturated (2 Timothy 3:14-17). We use Christ centered curriculum in each of our classes (Hebrews 12:1-2). Students are pushed to a deeper knowledge of the Lord and challenged to live it out each and every day. The second way that we accomplish these goals is through discipleship. We want to echo what you are teaching your children at home. We will love each student and pray for him or her. We will teach them how to read and study the Scriptures and how to seek the Lord. Our teachers will model to your children how to live out their faith (1 Corinthians 11:1 and Hebrews 13:7). We also have an engaging chapel in which a faculty member or member of the community will encourage students to use their faith to make a difference. The third way that we will accomplish our goals is through service and missions (Mark 10:45 and Matthew 28:18-20). Students will be asked to serve GCA, fellow students, the community, and the world. We are building partnerships with many different places and organizations so that your child will learn to show their love through action. We believe that GCA is a locker room where the students are learning in order that they might be equipped to serve on the field.

In summary, we truly believe that we are partners with parents in pointing students to Christ. We want to support parents in any way that we can so that students can reach their full potential in understanding their identity in Christ and their role as Christ followers in the world.
