Kellye Pirtle » Bio

Bio

Kellye Pirtle was born and raised in St. Louis, MO.  She received her BA from Southern Illinois University (Edwardsville) and then went on to obtain her Master’s Degree from Webster University.  She taught several different elementary grade levels for 7 years before beginning a family.  After their youngest child entered Kindergarten in 2016, Kellye jumped back into teaching.  This time, she was in a Pre-K classroom and loved it!  Kellye has taught Pre-K, first, second, and now teaches third grade at GCA. Knowing what an honor and privilege it is to foster the love of learning in a Christ-centered environment.  She feels extremely blessed to be part of the GCA faculty.

Kellye has been married to Pete for 24 years, and they have 4 children, two are GCA graduates and two attend GCA. She enjoys reading, hiking, thrifting, and gardening. Her favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:6-7, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
