Bio

I grew up in Columbia, Tn where I was blessed to receive a Christian Education at Columbia Academy from Kindergarten until I graduated. After high school, I attended Middle Tennessee State University where I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. After graduating college, I went back to Columbia Academy, where I taught 4th and 5th grade and coached basketball and softball. I have taught in the public school system for 13 years but have always wanted to get back to where I feel most at home, which is a place where I can be a Christian role model to my students and teach Christian principles in a safe environment.

 

I have two daughters, Harper and Hayes, who will both be attending GCA. My husband, Wes, is also an educator and a coach in Williamson County. I am so thankful and feel so very blessed for our family to be a part of GCA and for my girls to be able to receive a Christian education and to be surrounded every day by Christian role models, teachers, coaches and peers.

 

I love sports and when I am not teaching, you can usually find me on a softball field or in a gym watching my daughters play ball! I am so excited to be teaching 6th grade English at GCA and to be able to have the opportunity where I can incorporate the Bible and the life of Christ as I teach each lesson.

 

One of my favorite verses is "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand". Isaiah 41:10
