Bio

Sabrina holds an M.A. in Early Childhood General/Special Education and an M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from Teachers College, Columbia University. Sabrina has worked in hospital, clinic, school and home-based settings throughout her career as a Speech Pathologist. She especially enjoys the school setting because of the opportunity to collaborate with teachers and see kids interacting with their peers. Sabrina never ceases to be amazed at God’s intelligent design and gift of communication and loves supporting students in this domain; so they can thrive in and out of the classroom, read and understand God’s word and share the gospel effectively with others.

Sabrina stepped away from formally practicing speech therapy when her eldest daughter developed bacterial meningitis as a newborn. At that time, the Lord blessed Sabrina by allowing her to utilize her expertise in speech pathology and knowledge of navigating the special education system to best help her daughter receive the services she needed to reach her full potential. It was also a unique opportunity to grow as a therapist as Sabrina got to experience the therapeutic relationship from the parent perspective.

Sabrina loves traveling, especially when it can be combined with study or missions, such as past favorite trips to Spain, Thailand and Bolivia. Sabrina also loves dance, theater, reading and spending time with her husband Jeff, their 2 daughters (both GCA students) and their dog and cat. Originally from California, Sabrina and her family are thankful to now call Tennessee home.

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6
