Mollie Bozarth grew up around the hills and red clay of Virginia and is happy to see similar landscape in Tennessee. She earned a BS in K-12 Art Education from Indiana Wesleyan University and her MFA in Illustration from the University of Hartford. Mollie has been a free-lance illustrator for over a decade, focusing mainly on portraits and calligraphy, with some book covers and children's book illustration. She maintains a blog on WordPress, writing about life, art, and faith. Most recently, she has been illustrating the Oak Street Treehouse series of Christian picture books.

When not teaching or illustrating, she enjoys coaching a variety of sports. She is looking forward to coaching middle-school girl's basketball and tennis at GCA! Mollie believes teaching and coaching are key ways to mentor/invest in kids. And kids are always worth the investment!

A favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 42:16, "I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them."
