Kyla Carpenter came to Nashville in 1993 to study commercial music at Belmont University in hopes to become a Christian artist. She changed her path and graduated with a B.S. in psychology, licensure in education and a minor in music.

 

Kyla has taught first grade and kindergarten in Williamson County over the last 18 years. When she was not teaching in the school system she lead the preschool choir at her church. 

 

This year God lead her to GCA and she is beyond excited to have the opportunity to pray, praise and teach her students of God’s love.

 

Kyla married Chris Carpenter in 2000. They have three children, Chloe (19), Cami (15) and Koda (12).
