BIO

Tim Riley is a graduate of Grove City College with a BS in Entrepreneurship.  He and his wife, Mel, have 2 young sons - Porter (who attends GCA) and Case (4 years old).  Tim has a passion for pointing students to Jesus and communicating the message of God’s redemptive plan found in Scripture.  With over 10 years of student ministry experience (church staff and Young Life staff), he has been involved with church planting, relational ministry, training volunteer leaders, fundraising/development, event coordinating, small group leadership, and leading worship.  Tim desires that, during the most critical times in their lives, not a single student would be alone or without spiritual guidance.  In the midst of the pandemic, he was able to serve his YL area’s public school district as a part-time substitute, where he continued to pursue friendships with students and support the overstretched teachers.  He is honored, thankful, and excited to be on the GCA team as a High School Bible Teacher.

The Riley family is eager to explore their new surroundings in Nashville, and they invite the GCA community to share their favorite spots to check out!

Tim enjoys all things outdoors – hiking, sports, and yard games.  As a native of metro Detroit and spending the last 8 years in Rochester, NY, he is an avid Detroit sports and Buffalo Bills fan!  “Lions and Tigers and Bills! Oh my!”  Besides a solid burger, one of his favorite meals is a Garbage Plate, and Tim can usually be found sipping on black coffee whenever he's awake.

A few of Tim’s favorite Scriptures are Psalm 16, Colossians 3:12-17, and Philippians 1:27a, “Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ.”
